Final exam solutions are posted.
Final exam is this Monday June 9th, 8am, HSS 1330.
Covers Chpts. 13 to 20 of the textbook. Please bring a blank
blue book, a pen, a calculator, and
a formula sheet made by yourself (1 page two-sided 8.5x11'', words
and pictures ok).
Write your exam in pen rather than pencil since there will be no regrading for
exams written in pencil. There is no penalty for crossing out any amount of stuff. Show your work,
since no credit will be given for correct answers without supporting work, and partial
credit will be given for incorrect answers with correct supporting work. Write clearly. Circle the final
answers so they are easier to find.

HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS:
Problems from the book will be assigned every week,
solutions will be posted on the web page. To fully
understand the material, you should work most of the problems on your own without help of the solution key.
Homeworks will not be graded.
QUIZZES:
Closed-book quizzes will be given on alternate Mondays, the first one
on April 7th. There will be lectures on the other Mondays.
There will be no make-up quizzes.
COURSE GRADE will be computed from the average of the
5 quizzes (50%) and the (closed book) final exam (50%). If you need to miss a
quiz due to unavoidable circumstances AND notify the instructor
beforehand, it will not be counted and the final exam will count
for 60% of the grade.
